BLOCH
ELAINE A.
Elaine Amdur Bloch, 88, of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 1, 2026, surrounded by her children.
Elaine was born and raised in Pittsburgh, where she graduated from Taylor Alderdice High School in 1955. She briefly attended Carnegie Tech until marrying the love of her life, Alan Bloch. She and Alan raised three children, whom she cherished.
Alan's career as a U.S. District Judge and his leadership of an annual seminar hosted by the Academy of Trial Lawyers gave Elaine many opportunities to shine as a co-host and partner in his events, and she was recognized by the court as key to welcoming to Western Pennsylvania visiting lawyers and judges from around the country.
Elaine was a talented painter whose gift continued to further develop late in life. She enjoyed wonderful friendships, traveling, and most importantly, time spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warmth and kindness.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Lando (Mark); daughter, Carolyn Bloch (Steven Beltz); son, Evan Bloch (Lauren); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Alan Bloch; parents, Jack and Lucy Amdur; and sister, Nancy Briskin.
Donations in Elaine Bloch's memory may be made to MCG Youth & Arts, 1815 Metropolitan St., Pittsburgh, PA 15233 or mcgyouth.org, inspiring creativity, learning, and personal growth through the arts.
