ELLEN M. (GODULA)

Of Pittsburgh, age 87, died peacefully at her home, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Ellen was the beloved wife of the late Donald A. Diskin for 35 beautiful years. She was preceded in death by her dear siblings, Michael Godula and Norma (late James) Aherrn. Ellen is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ellen was a proud graduate of Turtle Creek High School, class of '56. After high school, she attended Duquesne University and later enrolled in the TWA flight school. Ellen became a flight attendant for TWA and traveled all over the world in her 30-year career.

Ellen was an active member of St. Paul Cathedral Parish and Sacred Heart Church of St. Jude Parish. She volunteered for numerous animal rights groups and Humane Animal Rescue.

All are welcome to gather at St. Paul Cathedral, in Oakland, on Tuesday, for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Visiting in church for half an hour, prior to Mass. Ellen will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery, reunited again with Donald.
