EMMA RITA
Age 87, of Baldwin, died Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, January 18, 1938, to the late Erasmo and Caridad Gonzalez Serrano.
Dr. Serrano was the medical director for Woodville State Hospital and assistant medical director for Mayview State Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Emma Rosa (Ronald) Stonis of New Kensington, Elizabeth Marie (Kurt) Rishor of Butler; eight grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Gordon, Natalie (Mark) Hasbani, Liam Gordon, Daniel Stonis, Cari Stonis, Matthew Stonis, Seth Rishor, Quinn Rishor; great-grandchildren, Vivienne Hasbani, Lukas Hasbani, Rhett Gordon, Grant Gordon; sister, Ina Serrano of San Juan, PR.; and brother, Erasmo (Yolanda) Serrano, Jr. of Houston, TX.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her daughter, Ina Gordon.
Visitation Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM RUSIEWICZ FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd., Lower Burrell 15068 where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. Donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, www.mdanderson.org.
