ERIN M.

Age 63, of Monongahela, PA, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on September 6, 1962, the daughter of the late James and Maureen McCloskey McDonough.

In 1981, she graduated from Upper St. Clair High School and went on to attend West Virginia Wesleyan University. Erin was a very compassionate person and worked as a Home Healthcare Provider with Home Instead of Washington, PA and Honor of Pittsburgh, PA. She was also a Mortgage Loan Processor with PNC for many years.

Erin was Catholic by faith and had many hobbies, including reading, animals, cooking, crafts, crocheting, movies and eating out. She loved spending time at her camp in the mountains and was also a former member of Fredericktown American Legion Post 391 Ladies Auxiliary.

On May 22, 1998, she married Thomas Rider, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Maggie "Mags" Rider, of Beechview, PA; and brothers, James McDonough III (Karen) of Cranberry Township, PA and John "Jack" McDonough of Beauford, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was brother, William "Pat" McDonough.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the GREENLEE'S BENTLEYVILLE FUNERAL HOME, 619 Main St., Bentleyville, PA, where a blessing service will take place Friday, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Westland Cemetery.
