FRANCES J. (PELAN)

On Thursday, March 5, 2026, Frances J. (Pelan) Delfine, formerly of Bellevue, passed away at the age of 92. Born November 9, 1933, in Canonsburg to the late Valentine and Karoline (Sajn) Pelan; beloved wife of the late Michael J. Delfine; loving mother of Kimberly (Carlo) Leo, Jami (Jeff) Pusateri, and Kristin (Jon) Haslett; grandmother of Carlo M. (Jess) Leo, Kim J. (Laura) Leo, Ralph (Robin) Talerico, Kayla (Jeremy) Hammond, Kelly (Dalton) Denny, and Kara Haslett; great-grandmother of Parker, Noah, and Ava; also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn (William) Marshall, Mary B. (Sam) Palovich, Josephine (Dick) Berardinelli, Mildred E. Pelan, and Bertha V. Pelan.

Fran had a career working with mentally challenged adults at Western Center in Canonsburg and then transferred to Parc-Way Industries in Millvale, working in a program to help equip these adults with life skills. She retired from her career in order to babysit her first grandchild.

Family was the most important thing to her. Anytime anyone came in the house, they were made food whether they wanted it or not, and anytime they left the house, she would say, "Call me when you get home," or when the kids would go out with friends, she would say, "Remember the three B's: Be Careful, Be Aware, Be Alert." Fran enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, exercise, baking, crafting, and attending her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events, dance recitals, and competitions.

Friends received from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue.
