FRANK HERMAN

Age 76, formerly of the Carnegie area, passed away on Sunday, March 15. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Frank served his country with quiet courage and unwavering dedication. Though he rarely spoke of his time in the service, those who knew him understood the depth of his sacrifice and the strength of his character. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose; niece, Jessica; and nephew, Charlie. He is survived by his twin brother, Charles (Barb) Bacu; sister, Marie Porter; sons, Robert Matthew Bacu and William Francis (Dana) Bacu; and grandchildren, Danica, William (Liam), Luke; former spouse, Teresa Brannan; along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Frank is a 1968 graduate of Chartiers Valley High School. He worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. Frank found joy in life's simple moments: early morning coffee, fixing up cars, and always helping those less fortunate. His humility defined him, and his kindness left a lasting impression on those who crossed his path. A private family service will be held in his honor at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that acts of kindness be shared in his memory - a reflection of the way he lived every day. Arrangements entrusted to the LEO J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, Carnegie.
