Of Tarentum, a former longtime resident of Chalfant, age 87, died on Monday, February 2, 2026.


Frank was the beloved and devoted husband of the late Geraldine Ann "Chick" (Stuthers) Pellegrino for 55 years. He was the loving father of Jerome L. (Shannon) Pellegrino of Turtle Creek. Frank was the cherished grandfather of Daniel (Julie) Siters, Darren (Miranda) Pellegrino, Robert Pellegrino, Luc Pellegrino and Frank Pellegrino. He was especially proud to be the great-grandfather of Hayleigh, Dominic, Roman and Alana. Frank was the brother of Anna (Roy) Betti of Plum.


Frank was raised in the Homewood-Brushton neighborhood of Pittsburgh. He graduated from Westinghouse High School and was a member of the football team that was coached by the legendary Pete Dimperio. At age 19, he joined the U.S. Army, and after being discharged on his return from duty in Germany, he married the love of his life, Chick. Frank then attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh that led to a long career as a designer/graphic artist for Bankers Lithographing in RIDC, Blawnox.


Frank continued his love of the sport of football by being a staunch Steeler fan.


Friends are welcome on Friday, from 2-7, at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC., TURTLE CREEK / MONROEVILLE CHAPEL, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, PA 15145, (412)-823-9350.


Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Maurice Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish), on Saturday, at 10 a.m.


Frank will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Penn Lincoln Cemetery.
