Frank R. Didonato, 85, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, enduring friendships, and a legacy of love for his family.

Frank was the beloved husband of Joan (Bukowski) Didonato, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with love, travel, boating, fishing, and countless adventures. They spent many happy years at their camp on Lake Erie, where they enjoyed fishing for walleye and making lasting memories.

He was the devoted father of Tracie M. (Didonato) Caputo and the proud grandfather (Papap) of Ashley M. Caputo and Jacob R. Caputo, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Frank was a man of many talents and interests. He worked for many years as a printer before becoming a licensed cosmetologist and owning his own salon. He later worked at Dravo and in Information Technology at PNC Bank until his retirement.

A perfectionist by nature, Frank enjoyed creating and repairing jewelry for family and friends, crafting leather goods, and was an accomplished archer. He also loved playing poker and continued enjoying card games until the last month of his life.

An avid traveler, Frank took many cross-country trips, including memorable rides on his Harley with close biker friends. Whether exploring the country, spending time on the water, or sharing stories with those around him, he lived life with enthusiasm and generosity.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Nunzio and Mary E. Didonato.

He will be deeply missed by his loving family, many friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, craftsmanship, sense of adventure, and gift for storytelling will be remembered always.
