SANTORO
FRANK SYLVESTER
Of Wilkins Township, passed peacefully with family and the caring support teams of Arden Courts Memory Care and Heartland Hospice, on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Beloved husband and best friend to Valentina Santoro. Beloved stepfather to Julie Fisher (Justin Misera) of Harmar Township and Jessica DeOrio (Dominic) of Penn Township. Adoring and fun Pap to Orlando and Alora DeOrio. Dear brother-in-law to Donna Catarinella (Steve), Linda Esposto and Denise Esposto. Loving uncle to multiple nieces and nephews. Dog walker to Bella. Father of Frank Santoro (Dana). Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mary Santoro; brother John Santoro; and brother-in-law, Terrence Boyd.
Born October 23, 1948, in Braddock, PA, Frank was a graduate of Swissvale High School, member of the Marine Corps and honorably served in the Vietnam War. Frank graduated from Robert Morris University and had a long career as a financial analyst at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Frank had many interests that kept him busy outside of work as well. He was a cycling enthusiast, who enjoyed the local GAP trail and traveling to Florida and Duck, North Carolina, exploring different bike trails with his wife, Val. Frank used his love of numbers to proudly keep a daily spreadsheet of his biking miles, some years surpassing 6000 miles on his bike! Another hobby that kept him busy was brewing his own beer - carefully crafting and sampling with his friends and family. Frank was a big Pittsburgh Penguins fan, never missing a game. He had a love for music and spent many hours listening to music while playing cards on the computer (Hearts or Solitaire), eating chips and pretzels, drinking his personally crafted beer and smoking a cigar. He especially enjoyed spending time with his treasured grandchildren, Orlando and Alora; and always looked forward to walking his grand-dog, Bella. Frank was so loved and will be missed every day.
Please consider honoring Frank by donating to VFW Post 8430, 1200 Broadway Street, East McKeesport PA 15035. Services private. Arrangements by WOLFE MEMORIAL, LLC. Memories and condolences may be left in the guestbook, at: www.wolfepgh.com
