FRANZETTA

FRANK T. "BEAU"

Lifelong resident of North Braddock, age 70, one of 15104's finest residents passed away following complications of a long-awaited heart transplant on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Born the son of the late Francis "Babe" Franzetta and the late Erma June (Parsons) Franzetta.

Beloved husband of Flora L. (Hornyak) Franzetta for 45 1/2 years.

Loving brother of Marianna (Ross) Burdell, Michael (Marci) Franzetta, Antoinette (Mark Lucas) Franzetta, and the late Francine Franzetta.

Brother-in-law of Beth (Joe) Zmuda, Robert D. Hornyak, and Vicki Hornyak.

Son-in-law of Robert A. (the late Ruthann) Hornyak and the late Dolores (Martelli) Hornyak.

Adored uncle of Kathryn and Sarah Hornyak, and Nicholas and Christopher Franzetta.

Dear Godfather of Garrett Zjadel.

Also survived by many cousins and friends.

Beau was proud to have been born and raised in Braddock and North Braddock. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #5, and was a 1973 graduate of General Braddock High School. He was formerly employed with Millers Drugstore, Cudas, WABCO, Reinhold Ice Cream, where he worked as a truck driver, and J.P. Roofing, where he served as a project manager. Beau was a lifetime member of the North Braddock Volunteer Fire Department, where he also served as Past President. He was an active volunteer and was paramount to organizing the annual street fair for many years. Beau was a devout Pittsburgh Steelers fan and longtime season ticket holder. His tailgate parties were never shy of a good time, and often served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, accompanied with countless stories of great times had. A true car enthusiast, Beau took great pride in his vehicles and enjoyed keeping them clean and fresh.

Beau had a special gift for bringing family together, and he enjoyed organizing family reunions. He understood the value of family connections and the importance of creating opportunities for loved ones to gather and share stories. From his early days of hanging out and playing sports on the corner of Price and Roy Street in North Braddock with close friends, to bowling leagues with Flora, Steelers tailgates, and his work with the "Growing Up 15104" group. Alongside his close friend, Frank DeMarco, they assisted the "Growing Up 15104" group in throwing countless parties and gatherings that reunited friends from all walks of life.

Beau will forever be remembered for being a man who made others feel welcome and valued.

Friends are welcome on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., TURTLE CREEK / MONROEVILLE CHAPEL, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350, where a Fireman's Service will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Parish (formerly St. Maurice).

Beau will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
