FREDERICK C. "FRED"
Age 88, of Allison Park, passed away on Sunday afternoon, August 2, 2026, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.
Born in Martins Ferry, OH, on July 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Howard L. and Zelma Craig Evarts.
He had served in the United States Air Force during peacetime.
Fred was a draftsman for People's Natural Gas in Pittsburgh and was a member of Hiland Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his daughter, Polly Stehle (Ralph C.) of McCandless Twp.; a son, Roger C. Evarts of Allison Park; his grandchildren, Ralph A. Stehle (Alexandria) and Robert T. Stehle (Anastasia); and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Ralph J., Thomas and Theodore.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Werling Evarts, who he married on January 12, 1957, and who died on July 4, 2015.
Friends will be received at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, PA 16046 on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4-7 PM. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, Rev. Elisbeth Hartwell, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Marshall Twp.
