GEORGE EDWARD

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, George Edward McDine, Jr., age 76, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully with family by his side. Beloved husband of 33 years to Debra Lynn (Anglin) McDine; father of Pamela Lyn (Chad) McDine Salerno, Angela Marie (Michael) Bastidas, and Jamie Lynn (Ed) Harkins; grandfather of Marissa Salerno, Nicholas Salerno, and Julia Hartzell; great-grandfather of Lilyana Salerno; brother of twin, Howard Irvin (Katherine) McDine, Elizabeth "Betty" (Ron) Boyer, and the late Bertha (James) Smith; also survived by many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Cody Bear McDine.

George was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and being out in nature or on the water. He and his brother-in-law, Ron, enjoyed spending time together in the great outdoors. He was a kindhearted, accepting person who was a friend to all he met and a beloved member of the Duquesne University staff who brightened the lives of countless students over the years.

Friends received Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road (at 6th St.), South Park Twp. 412-655-4600, where a service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
