Of East Pittsburgh, formerly of Braddock and North Braddock, age 75, entered the hands of the Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Born the son of the late George Paul Dankovich, Sr. and the late Philomena "Honey" (Saccomano) Dankovich. Beloved father of George Paul (Leah) Dankovich, III of Latrobe. Adored brother of Nick (Janice) Dankovich of N. Huntingdon, Maryann (David "Butch") Moyer of North Braddock, and John (Lori) Dankovich of North Braddock. Cherished uncle of Rhonda (Steve) Moyer Schultz, Steven (Jen) Moyer, Nicole Dankovich, and Careyann (David) Iannuzzo. Great-uncle of Anthony "Tony" Iannuzzo, Nicholas Kiatos, Danielle Iannuzzo, Madchen Schultz, Greta Schultz, and Ellie Moyer.
George was proud to have been born and raised on Center Street in Braddock, PA, where some of his most fond memories were playing baseball and football with his friends, and growing up in a neighborhood filled with his loving family. He was a 1968 graduate of North Braddock Scott High School. George worked for years as a restaurant manager for several restaurants throughout the greater Pittsburgh area.
He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and enjoyed collecting antique toys.
Friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, 412-824-8800, where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
George will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
