Age 95, of Harmar, on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Husband of the late Mary Regina "Jean" (Rodgers); loving father of Barbara (John) DeFazio, Patricia Boyle, Rosemary (the late Vincent) Hogan, George W. (Debbie) Boyle III, Jim (Donna) Boyle and Tom (Janet) Boyle; grandfather of Stephen, Andy, Dan, Leah, Katie, Jimmy, Mary, David, Christopher, George IV, Kevin, Kenny and the late John Christian and Billy; great-grandfather of 20 beautiful children; brother of the late Jerry and Virginia Mary; loving companion of the late Joyce Pennrose. George led an adventurous life filled with excitement and danger. Won Press Photographer of the year many times. He was a Master Diver, water skier, lifeguard, world traveler, had musical talents without taking lessons. He honorably served for 40 years in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, retiring with the rank of Captain. He was a licensed ship captain of many vessels but mainly of his children's hearts. His family enjoyed the Penn Aqua Swim Club and the Duquesne Canoe Club for over 50 years. Friends received Sunday, 2-8 p.m., at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 7450 Saltsburg Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, 10 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church of Holy Family Parish.
