GERALD E. "JERRY"

Age 85, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026. He was born on August 23, 1940, to his late parents, Alfred and Dorothy (Gertler) Cirell; brother of the late Alfred and Audrey Cirell; lifelong partner of Doreen C. Lyden, who he met through working at Rockwell International in the Duplicating Department, where he later retired. Jerry is survived by his special family, Jackie Cannavine, along with her children, Renee (Chris) Sabo and Nicholas (Vanessa) Cannavine Jr; Jacki's grandchildren, Bella, Sophia, Giulana, Octavia, Nicholas and Anthony, whom he loved spending time with; also survived by a nephew, great-nieces and nephews and many friends. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, Bloomfield AARP and CYA Foster Senior Center. Jerry was a fun, loving guy who made people laugh. He loved fishing, golfing, casinos, traveling and Bingo. Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 2-6 p.m., with a Blessing Service at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
