Age 95, of Ross Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at UPMC Passavant Hospital under the compassionate care of Family Hospice.



Born in Olean, NY, he was the beloved son of the late Roy and Rose Gaylor. He grew up in Eldred, PA, and moved to Pittsburgh in 1964. Gerry proudly served in the United States Navy, as a submariner aboard the USS Ronquil (SS-396) and was a proud member of the USS Requin Base. He retired in 1985, after 33 years with Bell of Pennsylvania (Verizon). He was a lifelong member of Hiland Presbyterian Church, where he served as Deacon and Elder. Golf was one of Gerry's greatest joys, and he played faithfully into his 90s.



Beloved husband of Linda (Londino) Gaylor; devoted father of Michael (Katherine Aber) Gaylor, Valerie (Derek) Stein, and the late Deborah (Richard) Howells; loving grandfather of Erin Gaylor Bell (Lyndon), Keri Gaylor Soliz (Jake), Josephine Stein, Lillian Stein and Theodore Stein; proud great-grandfather of Donovan (Jennifer) Gaylor and Joshua (Faith) Soliz, William and Michael Bell; and great-great-grandfather of Myles Gaylor. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Bennett. He is also lovingly survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Susan (Robert) Gawlak, Gregory (Laura) Londino, Mark (Sharon) Londino and Arthur (Joan) Londino; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.



Gerry will be remembered for his deep faith, gentle strength, and devoted love for his family.



Funeral service on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Hiland Presbyterian Church, 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.



The family extends sincere thanks to UPMC Passavant Hospital and Family Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hiland Presbyterian Church, North Hills Food Bank, or Family Hospice.
