GLORIA NUTBROWN

Age 84, of Jefferson Hills, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025. Born the daughter of the late Emanuel and Mary Nutbrown of Collier Twp. Beloved wife of Delbert Jack Zirkle for 58 years. Loving mother of Robert Zirkle and Melanie (James) Gillot. Cherished grandmother of Marino, Melina and Gino Gillot. Survived by sister, Joyce (David) Corkery; and brother, Henry (Susan) Nutbrown. Also survived by nieces and nephews and their families. Gloria graduated from Clarion Teachers College with a bachelor's in education in 1962. She received a master's degree in School Counseling from Penn State University in 1965. She taught for 30 years as a third-grade teacher at Chartiers Valley and South Park school districts. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, knitting and was an avid reader of books. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, August 18 and Tuesday, August 19, at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
