Gregory A. Martz, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 6, 2025.

Gregory is survived by his wife, Cynthia Martz; daughters, Abigail (Ariel Squire) Martz and Allison Martz; sister, Deborah (Chris) Tuite; brother-in-law, Robert (the late Carol) Schmitt; sisters-in-law, Joyce Martz, Mary Ann (Ken) Fedak, Pat (Mark) Atkinson and Ellen Corona; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Martz; and his brother, Jeff Martz.

Greg will be remembered as a wonderful father and husband, who cherished his wife, Cindy, and their two daughters, Abby and Ally. His family was the center of his world, and he made it a priority to instill in them the values of love, hard work, and the joy of learning.

An avid reader and history buff, Greg had a genuine curiosity about the world and a knack for sharing fascinating stories he had gleaned from his extensive reading. He also had a deep love for Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers and Pirates, often cheering passionately for his favorite teams.

In addition to his love for sports, Greg had a profound appreciation for animals and farming. He enjoyed activities that connected him with nature and embraced a simple, fulfilling lifestyle. He was not only artistic, but also a jack of all trades, making his mark in various skills and hobbies throughout his life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home's chapel.
