Gregory J. Creaturo, Sr., age 79, of Shaler Township, on June 20, 2025.

Husband of Helen DeReno Creaturo.

Father of Gregory John Creaturo, Jr. and Anthony M. Creaturo (Christina M.).

Grandfather of Anthony, Jr. (Nicole), Jospeh, and Sadie Creaturo.

Son of the late John and Gloria Creaturo.

Brother of Leda Winkelman (William) and Angela Dunovan.

Greg grew up in Lawrenceville, where he met the love of his life, Helen, as a teenager; he was 17 and she was 14. From the beginning he called her "my girl," and she truly was, through 56 years of marriage enduring life's highs and lows and raising and their two sons, they shared a kind of love people only hope to find once in a lifetime.

Prior to their marriage, Greg answered the call to serve his country in the Vietnam war as a tank driver for the U.S. Army. Upon his return, he devoted his life to supporting his family, working at the Iron City Brewery for many years before starting his own business in 1986. He leaves behind one of his greatest legacies, Creaturo Contracting, which continues today into its third generation. He also loved serving as a volunteer firefighter with his son, Anthony. Greg was a member of Bauerstown Fire Department for 34 years, holding many roles including president, treasurer, and medical officer.

More than anything Greg was proud to be called "Pap." His grandchildren were the joy of his life and to them he was a guiding light, fierce protector, and constant cheerleader. The love he poured into them has shaped them into who they are today.

Greg's family would also like to thank the VA Hospital in Oakland for their kindness and support in his final days.
