H. DAVISON "DAVE"


Age 87, of Mount Lebanon, peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025. Son of the late Jean Davison Lind and Samuel M. Parks, Jr. (ironically the 1935 US Open Champion at Oakmont Country Club); beloved husband for 55 years of Kathleen (Richardson) Parks; devoted father of Kimberli Parks (the late Tom) Kuersteiner of Carmel, IN; proud grandfather of Jaylynne Berrier, James Kuersteiner, Mallory Michalski and Kyle Kuersteiner; great-grandfather of Charles, Bayleigh and Brantley; Kassidi and Stephen; Renee, Madilynne and Isabelle. Dave, as he was affectionately known, graduated from Shadyside Academy and John Hopkins University. He was a proud member of the United States Army Reserves. Dave was a delegate to American Kennel Club for The American Pointer Club serving also as their President. He was a lifetime member of the South Hills Kennel Club, participating in the sport of dog events including obedience and agility trials. Dave was widely known as the Mission Hills neighborhood Dog Stop and Biscuits Chain welcoming all with their pets. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a kind and gentle person with the utmost respect for all people. In retirement, Dave and Kathy traveled the United States to many National Parks, Museums and Battlefields. Together they shared the wonderful experiences of seeing our Beautiful Country. Family and friends will be welcomed at LAUGHLIN CREMATION & FUNERAL TRIBUTES, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Friday morning between 9:00 and 9:30 for a procession to Allegheny County Memorial Park for a Service and interment. If desired, memorials may be made to your favorite Humane Society.
