HELEN G.

Raised in Ginger Hill, PA, alongside her three brothers, Helen's adventurous spirit eventually brought her to Pittsburgh, the city she proudly called home for the rest of her days. A deeply devoted mother, she raised her only son, John, with endless love and unwavering support. Helen also dedicated over 40 years of her life to serving others as a secretary at both Mercy Hospital and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Throughout her long career, her warmth, meticulous organization, and comforting presence touched countless patients, families, and colleagues.

Helen was a creative woman of many talents who found immense joy in the quiet arts of cooking, baking, and sewing. Whether she was preparing a family meal, filling the house with the warm aroma of fresh baked goods, or stitching something beautiful for those she loved, she poured her entire heart into everything she created.

Above all, Helen was known for her free spirit, deep compassion, and sharp sense of humor. She possessed a rare gift for bringing laughter into any room and gently reminding those around her not to take life too seriously. Reliable and fiercely loyal, she was always there for her family, ready to help no matter the circumstances.

Helen's greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joe, with whom she shared over 40 beautiful years of marriage, love, and laughter. Her loving son, John. Her dear brother, Lou. Her cherished grandsons, Alex and Eric. A wonderful circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.

Helen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who truly lived life to the fullest alongside the people she loved. Her bright warmth and comforting presence will be profoundly missed.
