HELEN MARIE (HEDGE)

Age 91, formerly of Wexford, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 22, 2025, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Harry for 64 wonderful years (d. 2019); loving mother of Carol (Joe) Seltz, Nancy (Mark) Spomer, and Harry Jr. (Coreen); grandmother to Patrick (Alicia) Spomer, Stephen (Madison) Spomer, Lara (William) Matheson, Dianna (Joel) Grebenick, Caren (Matthew) Bergdahl, and Erin (James) Spellman; great-grandmother to Titus, Asher, Savannah, Isla, Jonathan, Jack, and Lyla, and Aunt Helen to many.

Helen grew up in the New York City borough of Manhattan, attending her family church, Fort Washington Collegiate Church, where she and her sister Carol sang in the choir and loved their church. Helen graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where she met Harry. She was a home visiting nurse in Philadelphia, PA. Her life's work was focused on her family, her home, friends and her Christian faith. Helen's many interests included music, charitable causes and was an advocate for access to mental health care for everyone.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, 2678 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp., PA. Christian Burial Service on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, 350 Manor Rd., Wexford, PA 15090.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Salem United Methodist Church, or a local shelter for homeless animals.
