HENRY JARED "JARY"

Henry Jared Wallace, Jr., 80, of Plum, PA, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023 at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born on Oct. 26, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Jane (Bowman) and Henry J. Wallace, Sr.

Jary was a 1961 graduate of Shadyside Academy; he went on to study history at Harvard University where he also obtained his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He was a retired partner in the firm Reed, Smith, Shaw & McClay in Pittsburgh, PA for many years specializing in labor and litigation matters. Jary was a member of the Fox Chapel Golf Club since 1965 and the Duquesne Club since 1974.

His memory will be cherished by his companion of 23 years, Barbara Ann Nolte of Plum, PA; and his sisters, Elaine Wallace Morris of Falmouth, ME and Beverly Wallace Cable of Westwood, MA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jary was preceded in death by his parents and wife of five years, Marianne.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jary's name to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc., 371 East Jericho Turnpike, Smithtown, NY 11787-2976.
