HERBERT M.
Age 80, of Beechview, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Eileen T. (Synan) Buettner. Loving father of Kelly (David) Roberts and Kerry (Ryan) Krane. Loving Pap of Cody, Courtney, Isabella, and Connor. Beloved son of the late Herbert M. Sr. and Rita (Langdon) Buettner. Dear brother of Diane (the late John) Gerhardt, Kenneth Buettner, Elaine (the late Patrick) Crawley, and Thomas (Peg) Buettner. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Herbert was a City of Pittsburgh police officer, retiring in 1996, after 26 years of service. He loved vacationing with family and spending time with his grandchildren. Family and friends are welcome on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 pm., at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800), 1660 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., PA 15220, where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 12:30 pm.
