JACK EDWARD

Age 75, passed away on June 6, 2026. He was born on May 25, 1951, to the late Jack Douglas Dean and Anna Mary (Landis) Gensler.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Renee Peluso, whom he often fondly said, "She really hit the lottery." He was a devoted father to Zack Dean (Rachel San Miron) and Melanie Ann Dean(and the late Andrew Turak); and a loving grandfather to Isabel Harmony Dean and Josh San Miron.

Jack is also survived by his sister, Brenda Dean; his brother-in-law, Frank Peluso; and his sisters-in-law, Lisa Peluso, Lora Peluso (Danny Reyes), and Jessica Peluso. He is further survived by his brother-in-law, Anthony Peluso (Marissa Botta); along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

He cherished the close friendships in his life, including Shelley and Frank Watters, Marleen Dean, and Rosco and Cathy McCracken.

Jack lived a life defined by service, dedication, and integrity. He was a proud Penn State graduate, often sharing his spirit with a heartfelt "We Are..." He served honorably as a Vietnam War veteran and went on to build a meaningful career as a registered nurse and beloved nursing instructor, touching countless lives through his compassion and teaching. He also found joy in nature as a Penn State master gardener.

Above all, Jack wanted to be remembered as a father, husband, nurse, and friend. He was a man of his word, you could always count on him. With a larger-than-life presence, some described him as a real-life John Wayne character. He never gave up on people and stood by those he loved with unwavering loyalty. If you were part of Jack's family or circle of friends, you were in it for life.

Jack was deeply kind, strong, and devoted to his family, his profession, and his community. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
