Age 58, of Monroeville, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1967, in Braddock, PA, to Charles and Donna (Evans) Barr. Jim was a computer technician for Geotechnics Inc. He loved anything with computers, legos and especially his dog, Louie. Jim had a special place in his heart for his sister, Beth. A devoted son to Donna and Charlie, he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. James is survived by his life long best friend and cousin, Matthew Bendel; three aunts, Patricia Germanowski, Rhea and Linda Valentino; and second cousin, Ken Wieand Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Barr; sister, Beth Lynn Barr; and stepbrother, Richard Pokrant. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., at JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL), 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2, at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wilkinsburg.
