BOOTH

JAMES A.

James A. Booth, age 81, of Shaler Twp., passed away on Monday, July 1, 2026. Jim was the loving husband to Rosemary; father to Melissa (Craig), Jim (Dana) and Jennifer. He was a grandfather to Rachel, Jimmy and Benny and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ida and William Booth; as well as his brother, William (surviving Janice) Booth. Jim attended McKeesport High School and Pennsylvania State McKeesport, and worked most of his successful career in the hospital industry, serving in various roles focused on materials and equipment management. Jim enjoyed working on various projects around the house, loved going on drives and dining out at restaurants, bowling and golfing, putting together model cars, and listening to the Bee Gees. He loved having a dog as part of the family and treated his fur babies as his own. Jim worked very hard to provide his family with the best options in life and his family was most important to him. One of his gifts was how he instilled in his children that they could do anything and that he always believed in them. He was always there for his family. The greatest gift he gave his family was the encouragement to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; to approach each day knowing Jesus loves us all no matter what our challenges are and with Jesus anything is possible. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 1500 Mount Royal Blvd., Glenshaw where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.
