JAMES A.

Age 66, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, February 24, 2025. Beloved husband of 45 years to Denise Marsico Buckey; loving father of Nina Bordick (Tyler), James Alan Buckey, II, and Brendan Buckey (fiance, Jaysa); cherished grandfather of Eastyn Buckey and Rhett Bordick; dear brother of Edward Buckey (Kristin) and the late Robert Buckey (surviving wife, Leana); and by his faithful companion, Ollie.

James was a graduate of Fox Chapel High School, where he met the love of his life, Denise. He worked as a software engineer at Siemens, where he dedicated many years to his profession. Outside of his career, James had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying mountain biking and fishing. Above all, he treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was an active part of his children's lives, coaching their soccer teams and serving as a referee. His devotion to his family and the joy he found in their company defined his life.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall, where a blessing service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mt. Royal Cemetery, Shaler Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA 15068.

James will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
