JAMES LYN

James Lyn Brown, age 71, of Plum Boro, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 50 years of Joyce Anne (Brinley) Brown; loving father of Jaime (Christopher) Bentz; cherished Pap of Aaron, Miah, and Andrew Bentz; and brother of Shirley (Paul) Nagle and the late Judith Parisi. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was born on November 24, 1953, in Canonsburg, to the late James Arthur and Mildred Evelyn Brown. He was a US Air Force veteran who had a deep love of his country. Jim never missed a Steelers game, was happiest on the beach at Hilton Head Island, and was a true movie buff who loved music and singing. Jim's source of pride was his grandchildren and he loved going to every activity and sporting event that they had. Friends will be received Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL), 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Our Lady of Joy Church, Plum. Interment with full military honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
