James R. Hudson



Age 94, formerly of Peters Township for 51 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. James is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine (Dabrowski) Hudson; brother Clifford Hudson, and his long-time companion, Helen Burns.



James is survived by his children, James (Susan) Hudson, Dennis (Maggie) Hudson, and Christine (the late Tom) Debbs; his grandchildren, Jason (Tammy) Hudson, Kiley (Clint Lane) Hudson, Colleen Hudson, and Eliza Hudson; his great-grandchildren, Madison (Nick Skillpa) Hudson, Morgan (Mike Visnich) Hudson, Mason Hudson, Xavier Calip, and Joseph Hudson; his great great-grandchild, Ellie James Skillpa; his sister, Mary Lou Creely of Yuma, Arizona, and brother, Paul Hudson of Portland, Oregon.



James was a 1949 graduate of St. Mary of the Mount High. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1951 and a member of the Peters Township VFW. He was the owner of various businesses including Hudson Autobody of the South Hills.



James was a hard worker his whole life and set a great example for his family. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed.



A private burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
