JANE FRANCES (BUDRYK)

Age 86, of McCandless, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

She was born on September 23, 1939, on Polish Hill, to Joseph and Stella Budryk. Jane moved to McCandless with her husband, Donald, and worked for the Port Authority in finance for 20 years.

Jane found joy in reading, shopping, and savoring her beloved Starbucks. She cherished the time spent cruising and exploring the world with her daughter, Diane, creating memories that will be held close forever. Always put together, Jane took pride in having her hair and nails done, always impressing everyone with her color choices.

Her home was a place of warmth and comfort, as she hosted her beloved "soft meat" nights, where her children and grandchildren gathered around the table, sharing laughter, stories, and love.

Jane is survived by her four children, Donald Welka, Jr. (Sally), Robert Welka (Terri), Diane Wilmot and Debbie Freas (Don); her brother-in-law, Raymond Sinicki, her seven amazing grandchildren and their spouses, Claire Gray (Matt), Jessica Kiefer (Kyle), Carolyn Sisson (Colton), Joshua Welka (Samantha), Zachary Freas, Paige Freas and Samantha Freas; and her great-grandchild, Estelle Sisson; and baby Gray on the way.

Jane is also survived by her beloved cats, Eugene and Sophie, who were a constant source of comfort and companionship. They rarely left her side, filling her days with company and unconditional love.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her sister, Carol Sinicki; and her grandson, Jacob Joseph Wilmot, whom she loved so much.

Per Jane's request, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Aiden Parish, St. Alexis Church, 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Jane loved children and her Catholic faith, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brother Andre's Cafe, 164 Washington Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or to St. Aidan's Religious Education Department, c/o Darcy Osby, 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090.
