JANET M. (SABOL)

Janet M. (Sabol) Wampler, age 78, of Sewickley and formerly of Irwin, entered life eternal peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Born in Braddock on October 19, 1947, she was the only child of the late Michael and Magdalena (Sadvary) Sabol. She was retired from Westinghouse Nuclear Operations after 32 years of service. She was a 1965 graduate of Westinghouse Memorial High School in Wilmerding.

Janet was the wife of the late Gerald "Jerry" Wampler who died on September 26, 2018. They were married for 46 years. She is survived by many cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 9-11 a.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER AND ALLAN J. WEBER, FUNERAL DIRECTORS. A Panachida Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Very Reverend Robert Popichak. This will be followed by a graveside service at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cemetery, 630 American Street, California, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to the Masonic Village (Sewickley, PA), Shriners Hospital for Children, The Wounded Warriors Project, or any no-kill animal shelter.
