On January 30, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Joel G. Bernstein. Loving mother to Jaron M. (Alison Colman) Bernstein. Daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Ida Shapiro. Cherished sister of Bernard Shapiro of Pittsburgh and the late Manuel (surviving spouse Gloria) Shapiro. "Bubbe" to Shoshana Clara and Misha Louis Bernstein. Aunt of Julia Shapiro (Ram Jambunathan) and Ali Shapiro (Carlos Queiros). Great-aunt of Eca Queiros. Mrs. Bernstein grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and spent most of her adult life working as an office manager at Temple Beth Israel in Steubenville, Ohio. After retirement, Jennie moved back to Pittsburgh and was a beloved and good friend to many. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. Visitation one hour prior to services, 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The JCBA (https://jcbapgh.org) or Bridges Hospice (https://www.bridgeshospice.org).
