Wife of William J. Gerstel.

Mother of Tricia Siliano (Jason) and Todd Gerstel.

Grandmother of Nicholas, Luke, and Christian Siliano.

Sister of Eileen Croskey, Marilyn Brown, and the late Lois Heath.

Also, many nieces and nephews.

Joan was a secretary to the superintendent of schools for the Shaler Area School District. She also worked at LaRoche University in the academic and career advising office. She was always known for her sweet demeanor. Joan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Hills Community Outreach.

Visitation is Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 2-5 PM, at NEELY FUNERAL HOME, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116. Funeral service Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11 AM, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1719 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116.
