Joann Manno loved her family. She was devoted to them and would go the extra mile to take care of her children and husband. She was an excellent seamstress, making clothes for everyone and passing those skills to her daughters. She was also an amazing cook who made the best meatballs and would even take lasagna to her children at college. Their college friends still remember that lovely treat. Joann was an avid reader and read two newspapers daily. When Joann moved to New Mexico to live with her daughter in 2021, she continued to read the Pittsburgh news and sports on her tablet. She loved reading novels and doing the word search every day. Joann loved watching the birds, especially the roadrunners, native to the Southwest. She loved dogs and was especially fond of her granddogs Cody and Bogart and her goddogs Benny and Georgie.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to New Mexico PBS, 1130 University Blvd. NE, Mailstop: MSC 12-7110, Albuquerque, NM 87102, newmexicopbs.org.
