In the home that she loved and surrounded by her adoring family, Joanne peacefully passed away late Sunday evening, June 29, 2025. Born to Edward and Agnes Drozynski in 1947 and growing up in Lawrenceville, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Joanne loved to send greeting cards and spend time with family and friends. She was blessed with 49 years of marriage to her surviving husband, Tom Wiedwald.
Together they had two children: their son, Jeff (Gidget) Wiedwald of Uniontown, and daughter, Ashley (Matthew) Summers of Crafton Heights, she deeply loved her grandchildren, Gianna Wiedwald and Thomas Summers and several nieces and nephews. Joanne is also survived by her cherished siblings, Eileen McCall and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Rita Drozynski of Sewickley.
Family will be received Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 1:00 to 8:00 PM at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., PA 15220. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Ascension Catholic Church, St. Philip Parish, 114 Berry St., Crafton, PA 15205. Interment to follow at Holy Souls Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of contributions or flowers, make a heartfelt tribute to Joanne by sending a card to someone that you love.
