DONAHOE JR.

JOHN A.

John A. Donahoe Jr., age 81, of Providence Point (Scott Twp), formerly of Mt. Lebanon., passed away peacefully, after a battle with Parkinson's, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. John is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia (Aaron) Donahoe; two sons, John A. Donahoe III of Dedham, MA and James F. Donahoe of S. Fayette Twp.; sister, Anne (Frank Schroeder) Donahoe of FL; two brothers, Robert (Denise) Donahoe of FL, and Michael (Mary Anne) Donahoe of Moon Twp; and his cherished grandsons, John A. (Jack) and Henry R. Donahoe of Dedham, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Sr. and Ann Marie (Fox) Donahoe; as well as sister, Patricia Colavincenzo.

Upon graduation from Georgetown University with a BA in International Business, John spent most of his professional life with Westinghouse, Wesco division. His positions ranged over the years, but he was especially proud of his accomplishments as they pertained to managing operations for a new office and facility in the Republic of Singapore and finally as the division's Director of International Business Development. His roles afforded him the ability to travel the world, which he enjoyed both professionally and personally. In later years, he spent time in the non-profit sector, assisting in sales and consulting.

John was active and engaged in his community. His commitment to service was evident through his long-standing active membership with the Rotary Club of Bethel-St. Clair, where he served as Assistant District Governor, Club President, and Director of International Programs. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister and Usher at St. Michael the Archangel Parish (Saint Bernard Church) and a performer in the South Hills Chorale.

When John was not working or serving others, he enjoyed golfing and sailing as well as relaxing and entertaining at Chartiers Country Club, where he had been a member for over 50 years. John was also an avid fan of Pittsburgh and Georgetown University sports. Above all, he valued time spent with his wife and family. At gatherings, he was especially known for delivering heartwarming and touching speeches.
