JOHN E. "JACK"

Age 97, a longtime Aspinwall resident passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 72 years to JoAnn Lovey; loving father of Denise Payne (Bo), Sharon Diehm (Robert), David Lovey, Mark Lovey (Janice) and Dana Novack (Edward); cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 3; brother of the late Patricia Regguniti.

John "Jack" Lovey worked for US Steel for over 40 years as a Supervisor in Public Affairs. Jack served the Borough of Aspinwall as a President/councilman for 29 years. He was a life member of Aspinwall VFD as FF/treasurer.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16th from 9 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. parting prayer at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall , followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Scholastica Church, Aspinwall. Entombment will follow at Allegheny Cemetery, Chapel of the Angels, Lawrenceville.
