JOHN FRANCIS
John Francis Auther, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the Quality of Life Services in Chicora from cancer.
A lifelong resident of Bakerstown, John dedicated over 40 years of service to the Richland Twp. Public Works Dept. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. John was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sister, Jill Smaretsky, and her husband Mike; his stepdaughter, Crystal Means; and his step-grandchildren, Remington and Colt Krstonich; as well as in-laws, Danny Housekeeper and Kim Auther. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Francis Auther; his son, Dustin Auther: his sisters, Jackie Mimm (Steve) and Janet Housekeeper; and his brother, Jeff Auther. He is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with John's wishes, no services are planned.
