JOHN J.
Age 74, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at home. He was born March 26, 1951, and was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Kapinus) Lukacena. He was the loving husband of 44 years to Sherrie Jean (Woods) Lukacena. John was a passionate golfer, he was a part of the Men's league at Manor Valley Golf Course, he also enjoyed fly fishing, buying and selling on eBay. He grew up as a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Church in McKeesport and belonged with his wife to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock. Friends are welcome on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M., at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township, (412)-751-5000, Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11 A.M., in the funeral home chapel, followed by Interment at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
