Jack lived his life with a quiet strength and a generous heart, the kind of man whose presence made the world feel steadier. He carried music in his hands, kindness in his voice, and a deep love for his family in everything he did. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served in the reserves, traveling overseas. He was born with a strong work ethic, starting with providing his parents and siblings with their first TV. He spent the first third of his career working for the Dravo Corporation on the railroad as a foreman and brakeman, followed by years of steady employment at various companies. He closed out his remarkable career at US Air, retiring at the age of 85, a milestone that speaks to longevity and an unwavering commitment to the people who counted on him.
One of his greatest joys was traveling with his family, exploring new places, and creating memories. Whether the destination was near or far, he believed that the journey mattered most when it was shared with the people he loved. Through the years, he loved tending to his gardens, cheering on the Steelers, or strumming his guitar. Jack brought joy, humor, and gentle wisdom to the people around him. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, a loving grandfather and great‑grandfather, and a loyal friend. His legacy lives on in the stories he told, the laughter he sparked, and the love he gave so freely. If you knew Jack, you knew his smile. His memory will always be cherished.
