Pittsburgh, PA - Age 83, passed away peacefully, on September 10, 2025, at New Hope Gracious Care Personal Care Facility. Born August 13, 1942, he was the son of the late James and Helen McKenzie. John was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Michelle; and his longtime companion, Linda Kinnear. He is survived by his children, Darryl (Renée), Deborah Smitsky and Brian; his siblings, James McKenzie, Mary Ann Keller and Patricia Martin; and his cherished grandchildren, Brandon (Haley), Brooke, Alyssa and Skylar; and Linda's grandson, Justin. John was a proud member of the Laborers Union, for 50 years, and a devoted fan of all Pittsburgh sports. John's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at New Hope Gracious Care and Commonwealth Hospice for the kindness, comfort, and care they provided throughout his time there.
