JOHN T.
Of Pittsburgh, age 83 of Woods Run, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Beloved husband of Rosemary M. (Pancurak) Stringert, Jr.; the bestest dad of Katherine (Kenneth) Egler and Christine (Steven) Shaw; grandfather of Kenneth Egler, Jr., Steven Shaw, Jr., Kristopher Egler, Brandy Shaw, and Klayton Egler; great-grandfather of Emery Shaw, Elinor Egler, and Daphne Egler; son of the late John and Catherine Stringert, Sr.; and brother of Craig Glevicky, Barb Walker, Roberta Nicotra, and Robert Stringert. John was a retired captain of the City of Pittsburgh firefighters and a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
No visitation; service and burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Thursday, April 16, 2026, 10:30 AM. Meet at the THOMAS P. KUNSAK FUNERAL HOME, INC. at 9:15 AM. Procession to leave for the cemetery at 9:30 AM.
