JOSEPH

Age 96, of Crafton Heights, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026. Beloved husband of 74 years to Edna A. (Migliozzi) DiPaolo. Loving father of Joseph (Jennie), Richard (Debra), and Louis (Laura) DiPaolo; cherished grandfather of Angela (Timothy) Mantick, Theresa (Salvatore) Folino, Joseph M. (Elisabeth) DiPaolo, Leah (Paul) Avery, Domenic (Pamela) DiPaolo, Louis W. (Elizabeth) DiPaolo, and Nico (Jordyn) DiPaolo; great-grandfather of Gianna, Anthony, and Malena Mantick; Matteo, Dante, and Natalia Folino; Joseph G. and Vincent DiPaolo; Eliana and Cameron Avery; Gabriel and Remiel DiPaolo; Juliana and Matteo DiPaolo; and Capri DiPaolo; brother of the late Andrew DePaolo and Mary Poliziani. Joseph served for 18 years in the US Army and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant major. He coached in the Crafton Heights Baseball Association and coached the St. Philip basketball team. Joseph was past president of the Bishop Canevin High School Booster Club and coordinated festivals for St. Philip Church. He also was an usher for many years at St. Philip Church. Joseph was a dedicated family man and enjoyed Sunday family dinners. Relatives and friends received Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 2–8 PM, at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton. Funeral and interment are private.
