Age 96, passed away on July 18, 2026. Son of the late John and Sarafina Brungo; husband of 67 years to Abbey Brungo; father to Dr. John J. (Christine) Brungo, Linda M. (Michael) Geubtner and David P. (Rhonda) Brungo; grandfather to Lindsey (Jarid) Kovalcik, Dr. Victoria (Brady) Brungo Pacific, Joseph R. (Hunter) Brungo, Gavin (Marisa) Geubtner, Dr. Brent Geubtner (and fiancée, Dana), Dr. Ashlyn (Dan) Geubtner Walter, Karl; great-grandfather to Quinten, Everett and two on the way; brother to Dr. John A. (the late Corinne)(Patty Weber) Brungo and the late Dr. James J. (Veronica) Brungo, Barbara (John) Dellaria, and Dr. Anthony (Elva) Brungo. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a dedicated family man, a cherished friend, and a respected figure in the field of dentistry, where he practiced for 35 years.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Joe served his country for four years. After completing his military service, he went on to pursue his passion for dentistry, which led him to become an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he contributed his expertise and mentorship for 44 years. He was also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Friends and family received Monday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M., at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy. Burial will be private for immediate family.
