Joseph Wissel, Sr., age 75, of Heidelberg, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Husband of Nancy M. (Cascio) Wissel. Father of Joseph (Ashley) Wissel, Jr. and Andrew Wissel. Son of the late Henry J. Wissel, Sr. and Olga Wissel. Brother of Paul (Carol) Wissel, Sue (David) Lutz, Mike (Missy) Wissel and the late Henry J., Jr. (late Maxine) Wissel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Joe was a GE Glass retiree and was a 58 year member and past fire chief of the Heidelberg VFD. Family and Friends are being received on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the LEO J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, 323 Second Avenue, Carnegie. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church of St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 330 Third Avenue Carnegie at 10 a.m. Interment private.
