Age 90, of Elizabeth, passed away on December 1, 2025.
Joyce graduated from Clairton High School and went on to have a long-standing and successful career as a secretary for State Farm Insurance. She met the love of her life, Jay McGrew, on a blind date. Neither could have expected that this fateful meeting would lead to a 71-year-long marriage and a happy family. Joyce enjoyed baseball (especially the Pittsburgh Pirates). She also enjoyed using Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family.
Joyce is survived by her loving son, Jeffrey McGrew (April Scheirer); grandchildren, Dustin McGrew (Amy) and Jamie Pierson (Justin); great-grandchildren, Rylan and Leo McGrew and Brooke and Kacie Pierson; brothers, Tim and Chris Snyder; and daughter-in-law, Lynda Volpe (Ronald).
Joyce is preceded in death by her beloved and greatly missed spouse, Jay R. McGrew; parents, C. Paul and Doris Snyder; and brother, David Snyder.
Services for Joyce are private and have been entrusted to JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME.
