Judy (McCrea) Ghion, 58, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, after a five year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Geraldine McCrea; sister, Jo Ann Narushoff (Rich); and brother, Donald McCrea Jr. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Cameron Ghion; two children, Jamie DeTal (Dustin) and Daniel Ghion (Natalie Talarico); and siblings, Matthew McCrea, Mary Beth O'Hearn (Edward), and Janet Ebbert (Dave McCartney). Judy was a loving wife and amazing mother, who devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was strong in her faith, always believing God had a plan whether we understood it or not. She loved cuddling her pup, Bustie, taking trips with her amigas, and spending time with her family. She was called to Heaven in her home with her husband and children right by her side. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Friends received at the FRYE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 427 W Main St, Monongahela, PA 15063 on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 2-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Judy's honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
