JULIA THERESA (DISANTI)

Julia Theresa (DiSanti) Laughlin, age 79, passed away on June 2, 2026. She was born on February 2, 1947, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Raymond DiSanti and Frances (Cameron) DiSanti. "Julia" to none, "Julie" to most, and "Judy" to the rest, she was the beloved wife of fifty years to Patrick Laughlin and loving mother to Rachel (Joshua) Lane of Chattanooga, TN and Brigid (Liam) Griffin of Falls Church, VA. She was the proud grandma Juju to Finnegan Griffin, Jack Lane, and Erika Lane. She is survived by siblings, Joseph (Donna) DiSanti; Mary Sorg; Michael (Valerie) DiSanti; Robert DiSanti; Carol (Kevin) Laughery, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her brother Raymond DiSanti, Jr., and infant son John Raymond preceded her in death.

Julie attended Penn Hills High School and graduated from St. Margaret's School of Nursing. After working as a nurse for over a decade, Julie taught on behalf of the Community College of Allegheny County at senior citizen centers throughout the county. She was an avid quilter and proud member of the North Pittsburgh Quilters' Guild. She was a long-time member of the Christian Mothers and a Eucharist minister at St. Aloysius and The Most Holy Name of Jesus parishes.

Family will welcome friends on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 388 Center Avenue, West View, PA 15229. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Shrines of Pittsburgh, St. Anthony's Chapel 1704 Harpster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
