KARL G.
Karl G. Hoak, Jr., age 79, of Adams Twp., formerly of McCandless Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2026.
Karl was born on March 27, 1947, in Millvale, PA to Karl and Dorothy Hoak who preceded him in death.
Karl is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Penny L. Gray Hoak, his daughter, Kimberly Hollern (Phil), his two granddaughters, Karlie McGinnis (Connor) and Taylor Hollern, his siblings, Kathy Knochel (Marty), and James Hoak (Heather) and by nieces and nephews.
A graduate of LaRoche University, Karl retired after 45 years with Valspar as Director of Purchasing. He love golf and was a member of Diamond Run Golf Club for 27 years. Karl and Penny regularly attended Northway Christian Community for church.
Friends will be received at the McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, PA on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp., PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army. Directions and condolences are available at:
